Default Help me identify these parts? - 08-30-2012, 04:40 PM

So, all of this stuff was in the back of the AE86 I bought, but I'm not sure what everything is. Also, any help on how to re-install these items is appreciated

#1 Goes under the headlights (between rad. support and bumper)
#2 Goes under the headlights (between rad. support and bumper)
#3 Bottom engine cover
#4 ?
#5 Headlight wiring grommet
#6 Headlight wiring grommet
#7 One of four lip braces. It attaches the side bumper piece to the lip, then bolts to where the tow hook plate is
#8 Connects to the block and tranny, like a engine/tranny stiffener
#9 Stabilizes the side bumper piece right under the marker light
#10 ?
#11 ?
#12 Hood latch support. Attaches bottom radiator support to the core support and the grille attaches to it as well.

#3 is a bottom engine cover. #5 & 6 goes where your headlight harness is located. #8 connects to the block and tranny kind of like a engine/tranny stiffener. #9 connects from the top fender to the frame. #10 connects to the frame to the bottom of the bumper or fender, I can't remember.

#1 & 2 look like the pieces that ho under your headlights (between rad. support and bumper)

#5 & 6 go in the openings of the rad. support where your harness runs though

#9 goes from intake manifold to engine mount

#12 connecs the lower and upper parts of the radiator support and is the either the left or right bracket for your grill and will connect to your front bumper valance..

#11 look like headlight motors

#13 looks like your horn

1+2 can be tossed.
2+3 save electrical parts in case a splash through a puddle.
5+6 is where the headlight/signal harness runs through the core support from the engine bay to said items. It's a giant grommet. Not needed, but you don't want harnesses rubbing on metal surfaces ever.
7 is one of four lip braces. It attaches the side bumper piece to the lip, then bolts to where the tow hook plate is.
8 is a piece of scrap metal shit. No such need. 4AG doesn't make factory SBC torque. Discard.
9 is a weird one. It stabilizes the side bumper piece right under the marker light. Not side specific, too. It's fairly helpful for a clean body line.
10 Stops flappy side bumper piece on the bottom closest to the wheel-well. They're often mangled.
11 is not from ae86 or does not look familiar.
12 is the hood latch support. Attaches bottom radiator support to the core support and the grille attaches to it as well.
13 is one of the gayest and weakest horns known to man, IF it works lol

Real talk.

lol Truth. I had a BMW merge into the Corolla on I5 yesterday while I held the horn down. He never heard it and never saw me.

Could it be the bracket that relocates (angles) the ignition coil on a cruise-control-equipped car?

It's too short for the front. Could it be for the rear?
